[There's a paper bag labeled "ANYA" on the doorstep of the place Anya is living this morning. No signs of who might have left it. Inside is a pink and white striped piece of cloth, to be worn as a scarf or a ribbon or perhaps a bow. The stripes aren't all the same size, but they're pretty close. An attempt was made.

If nobody is going to give the kids here stripes Sans is going to have to do it.]

[ Anya had better be bundled up and wearing her stripy bow outside, because she's going to need to be warm. Ala spots her victim while she's out at the edge of the fields, waving her arms up over her head to catch Anya's attention. ]

[Huh? Anya was exploring when Ala suddenly catches her attention - ah. This is Ala, from the summoning ritual and girls night...Anya toddles over.]

Hello! Anya is not busy! What is up?

[ Oh good. If Anya were busy, Ala would have to sabotage whatever those plan were, so this makes things easy. She waits until Anya's close enough to feel the ground slope up on the very very minuscule mound of snow that she's standing on top of. ]

I'm building a sledding hill! I need you to jump up and down and help pack down the snow— bonus points if you slip and fall! That's how we know it's working.

[Oh!!]

Sledding!! Do we have sleds? Anya will help!!!

[Anya chirps, already jumping up and down.]

Anya...does not....wanna fall though! If Anya gets hurtie, call a doctor...!

We'll get sleds later, and, um. It's okay if you fall!

[ Don't worry about it, Anya! it's an essential part of the hill making process. It's a slow going process too, because there's no tools to be seen: Ala's just grabbing handfuls of snow with her bare hands and tossing them on top of the hill. ]

Hmm~ What if you sit down? You can't fall if you're already on the ground.

[ With all of the attention he's been getting as far as healing his broken bones goes, he knows that they have to be at least set enough that they won't rebreak just from wandering around during the day. At least as long as he's careful.

Still, he doesn't want to worry his guardian unnecessarily, so he did at least leave a note that he was getting some fresh air. Being bed bound was starting to make even him feel stir crazy.

Even so, clumsy as he is, he'd just picked a spot where he could see people and sat down to organize his card collection. He was happy being around the others after so long, and lifted his head when he noticed someone nearby. ]

Oh, Anya. Hello.

[ She gets a little wave. He likes her. ]

[Sometime after Haruka's disappearance -- unbeknownst to Barnaby -- he receives a call from Anya that sounds just like a small yelp before she hangs up. Panicked, he immediately tries calling her back, then sends a quick text message, to no avail, so he sets out to where he knows she's been staying to try to figure out what's going on.

She's very young, so it could be that she's fooling around with her phone and just called him by accident... But the fact that she called him, specifically, makes him wonder if she's afraid or in danger. So it's with those worried thoughts flitting around in his mind that he heads to where she's been staying, knocking on the door briskly.]

[Anya approaches the door, and with only the slightest bit of hesitation, she opens it up.]

Ah...Mister Bunnaby. So Anya's phone does work...

[A pause.]

...Have you seen Haruka? Anya hasn't. For a while. Anya tried to call him and it did not work....

[Anya is wandering out by herself for now. Bunnaby, Kotetsu, and Qiqi are all doing different things, so it's Anya on her own until she notices...]

...Ah. Bibi. Henlo.

[She walks over and sits next to him.]

Anya has not seen you in a bit. What happened?

[He's relieved when she opens the door and appears unhurt, but that soon turns to worry again at her response.]

He's missing...? Tiger and I can search for him. Where did you see him last?

Before the town meeting.

[She shuffles on her feet nervously.]

First Tenn went away. Now Haruka. Qiqi said this house might be cursed. Anya is here alone....

....Qiqi and Anya went looking. We could not find him either.

[Then perhaps he's gone, or worse, though Barnaby tries not to think about that too much, lest Anya overhear it. If she hasn't already. He smiles to try to reassure her.]

Then why don't you stay with Tiger and I until we find him? It's no good staying on your own here, and I'm sure my partner won't mind.

[If anything, Kotetsu would probably dote on Anya in a way that he does with Kaede.]

Mmm? With you and Tiger? Anya? ...Anya does not want you to disappear too.... [She's a little worried she might be the curse...] But if you are sure...

[at least he knows her ability, so she asks]

Ah, she's Tiger's daughter. She's twelve years old.

[So more of a tweenager than small child, but still Kotetsu's little girl all the same, even if she's growing up.]

He thinks about her all the time, as I'm sure you'll notice when you get to know him. [He might not say it, but Barnaby knows it, even without being a mindreader.] So, I think he'd be happy to have you around.

[Ah. So Tiger is a Papa too!]

Ohhh! He is a Papa too!

[...it must be lonely, not having your daughter here. Anya smiles. Well. It's a hero's responsibility to help people!]

Anya sees....okay. Anya will stay with you. Anya will help keep Tiger from not being lonely without Kaede around.

[She knows what she is. She is a cute little girl. She's not a complete replacement, but it might help to find similar people.

After all, she started trusting Bunnaby because he reminded her of Papa.]

Just don't tell him you think he's lonely, all right? He'll change the subject or do something silly to distract you.

[Again, not a mindreader, he just knows Kotetsu far, far too well. He always wants to be a hero to people, but that all too often means he won't admit when he's having a hard time with his own feelings.]

That said, do you need any help packing your things? [She probably doesn't have much, but she might have accrued a few things worth hanging on to at this point.]

Okay. Anya will be quiet about that. Anya knows how to be....subble.

Anya does not have many things, but...Anya has a few things.

[Anya begins to lead the way to her room, up the stairs. Then she abruptly looks up at Bunny.]

...Do you think Anya should tell Tiger about Anya's powers? Since we are living together. Anya feels it is...probably right to do that.

[Barnaby follows after her, pausing at the top of the stairs when she turns to look at him, and he nods without hestitation.]

If you're comfortable doing so, yes. He's my partner, so you can trust him with anything you would entrust to me. He has powers, just like we both do, as well.

[Which she might already be aware of, but it does mean he'll understand her perspective better than most.]

[Anya nods.]

As long as he will not be afraid of Anya....but Anya trusts you, Bunnaby. So Anya can trust Tiger too.

[She does, however, catch the implication that he really hasn't told anyone.]

...Thank you, too, for keeping Anya's secret. [She walks into her room, and it's pretty bare, apart from the gift that Sans made her at Christmas and a few flowers she's picked. There's also the pin from her father's spy organization resting on a table, but she picks that up and puts it on her dress.]

Anya also does not have her gem here. So no worries about that. Wave has that.

[ What happened... well he's heard what others have told him about the attack, but he still can't remember anything about it whatsoever. One moment he was looking for Yuri, the next he was in the living room, horribly injured. ]

I got hurt in the dog attack. Yuri said Kuja saved me.

[ Which was an entirely different thing he didn't know how to process, but he pushes that aside. ]

I think I'm mostly okay now though. Just sore. I hope you were safe when all that happened, though. It sounds like it was really scary...

Bunnaby protected Anya! Anya lives with Bunnaby and Tiger now. They are both so very nice. Anya likes them lots and lots.

[And Anya hums.]

Kuja has a lair like a supervillain that Bondman would fight, but he is not a bad guy, Anya thinks. Kuja helps people. Anya likes him. Anya is glad you are okay, Bibi.

[She beams. Clearly, she doesn't know the whole story, but that's not something she can be blamed for, really.]

Everything gets really scary here sometimes. People get hurt. People disappear. But...we are okay. That is what matters most.

[ Kuja being a bad guy or not... well, he can't help but think of Memoria, and how Kuja tried to destroy all of existence because he was due to die soon. He can't blame Kuja for being afraid but his actions certainly weren't good.

It's fine though, he's doing a lot better here than he was on Gaia. ]

Oh, I remember Mr. Tiger. I invested the lake with him once. Mr. Barnaby is really nice too, I agree... I've been living with Yuri, but Kuja stops by a lot. We're from the same world.

[ In a manner of speaking. It's easier to explain it that way than the complicated mess it actually was. ]

I'm glad you're okay too. I'd be really worried if you got hurt...

[ This place... really isn't kid friendly and yet here they are. Kids have to stick together. ]

We should play together sometime. Make the best of it.

Oh! You and Kuja share the same world....like Tiger and Bunnaby, or the idols... [Or Tenn and Haruka. She misses them, sometimes.]

Awww. You do not have to worry for Anya. Anya is always fine!
